I would like to inform you that since the Government of Canada has changed, their immigration policies are likely to change keeping in mind their election manifesto. The new Government of Canada formed by the Conservative Party is planning to take steps to clear the backlog of cases.
Presently the number of cases already filed have risen to 8,00,000. To curb the inflow of immigrants, they are considering two proposals, either they would not accept fresh cases or they would come up with stringent immigration law like increase in qualifying points so that only few would be able to qualify for Permanent Residency.
