Requirements of Tier 4 student visa |
|
There are a number of requirements that must be met by people who wish to obtain a student visa for entry to the UK. You must show that you have been accepted for a course of study and the institution at which you have been accepted is registered with the Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills as an education provider.
In addition, you may be required to show that you are able and intend to follow the course of study. You may have to demonstrate that you do not intend to engage in business or to take employment, except part-time or vacation work.
You must show that you are able to meet the costs of your course, accommodation and maintenance of yourself and any dependants without having to work full-time or access public funds.
Points Required for Student Visa
Those who wish to study in UK should go through the point system. Those who wish to be student in UK should at least have 40 points to gain approval. The point system is divided into two:- letter from your sponsor (30 points)
- financial capability (10 points)
The sponsor for your tier 4 student visa will be your school. Their letter of recommendation will not only be a simple approval but detailed information about you as a student, why they are considering you as student of your chosen course and your financial capabilities.
The financial capability factor of the evaluation usually depends on the school and the course you prefer. The applicant should show that he or she has the capability to become financially independent even without work.
Documents Required for Tier 4 General
Please supply all documentation you feel necessary to show you qualify for entry into the UK. The decision of all visa applications is at the discretion of the Entry Clearance Officer. Select the correct box as it relates to the supporting documentation provided.
Following is the list of documents required for Tier 4 General Student visa.- Valid Original Passport
- Original Visa/Offer Letter from an approved provider (see (I) below)
- Original documents used to obtain your visa letter
- Original evidence of funds (see (iii) below)
- Copy of your Visa Application Form
- Two Passport Sized Photos
- Your Stamped Biometrics Appointment Confirmation
